Day by day, India continues to witness a surge in the number of cases and deaths due to the novel Coronavirus infection with an uncertainty of when the country would reach its peak and the numbers would start falling, something which other nations are facing too. Experts have warned that a second wave of infections is underway and this will be stronger than the first one. India currently is the fourth worst-hit nation from Covid-19. On Friday, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India recorded 297,535 cases and 8,498 deaths due to Covid-19. Metropolitan cities such as Delhi and Mumbai continue to be worst-hit from the pandemic and lack of health infrastructure creates more problems for patients, both at the initial and serious stages who are looking out for requisite treatment.
Covid-19 infections in United States have surpassed 2 million and as per a study conducted, the death toll can reach 200,000 by the month of September. New Zealand, which has recovered from Covid-19 will allow entry of maritime vessels into the country as it removed all restrictions and declared itself free from the disease.
