Experts have warned that a second wave of infections is underway and this will be stronger than the first one. India currently is the fourth worst-hit nation from Covid-19. On Friday, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India recorded 297,535 cases and 8,498 deaths due to Covid-19. Metropolitan cities such as Delhi and Mumbai continue to be worst-hit from the pandemic and lack of health infrastructure creates more problems for patients, both at the initial and serious stages who are looking out for requisite treatment.
Covid-19 infections in United States have surpassed 2 million and as per a study conducted, the death toll can reach 200,000 by the month of September. New Zealand, which has recovered from Covid-19 will allow entry of maritime vessels into the country as it removed all restrictions and declared itself free from the disease.

40 persons booked in Chennai for violating home quarantine norms
The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) on Friday said FIRs had been lodged after it lodged police complaints against 40 coronavirus patients for breaching home quarantine norms and moving out.
In a statement issued here, the GCC said first information reports (FIR) were registered against these patients for putting other people's lives at risk.
