Highlights: Arvind Kejriwal meets Amit Shah over coronavirus situation in Delhi

The Karnataka government said that over four lakh Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the state so far, while the recovery rate remains at 44%. Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar said that till Tuesday, 4,00,257 samples were tested in 71 testing labs across the state, reports PTI.

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal who was tested for Coronavirus on Tuesday, said that his test result has come negative. He thanked everyone for their wishes and blessings, reports ANI.

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal’s decision to not reserve hospitals exclusively for Delhi residents for Covid-19 treatment will be followed in “letter and spirit”.

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said that total of 12,000 people have recovered from the Coronavirus infection so far in the national capital. At present, the total number of cases have crossed 31,000.

Chief minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal said that he was isolated for two days after he experienced mild symptoms. The chief minister was tested for Covid-19 on Tuesday and the test results came negative.

With 123 fresh cases, Rajasthan's Covid-19 tally has reached 11,368. The state's death toll stands at 256 while 8,502 people have recovered from the infection, reports ANI.

Delhi health minister Satyendra Jain also said that orders had been issued to increase the number of beds by 2,000 in the next 2-3 days. 15,000 beds will be needed by the end of June. The state health minister mentioned that banquet halls, hotels and stadiums will be put to use if required, reports ANI.

Delhi health minister Satyendra Jain said that if one person gets infected, it takes around 2 weeks to recover and during this period they infect nearly 2-10 people. Considering the present situation, it is expected that in next 12-15 days, there'll be around 30,000 more cases, reports ANI.

The Rajasthan government said that it will seal the state's borders in view of the sudden upsurge in Coronavirus cases. Permits will be required for movement.

110 more people tested positive for Covid-19 in Odisha, taking total number of cases in the state to 3,250. There are 1,106 active cases and 2,133 people have recovered so far, the state's health department said, reports ANI.

Maharashtra Police said that a total of 124,369 cases were registered under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for violating lockdown norms. 846 have been arrested for assaulting police personnel, reports ANI.

Maharashtra Police said that no new Coronavirus cases were reported in the force in the last 48 hours. The total Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra Police have reached 2,562 and the death toll stands at 34, reports ANI.
