In Delhi, there are total 19, 844 coronavirus infections, while in Maharashtra the total number has risen to 67,655. In Gujarat, the number of total infections stands at 16,779.

India recorded highest single-day spike of 8,392 in coronavirus infections. The total number confirmed cases rise to 190,535, death toll reaches 5,394.

Japan is considering re-opening its borders to travellers from selected countries which have low levels of coronavirus infections, as it begins to ease restrictions put in place earlier this year to control the outbreak, reports Reuters.

After keeping it shut for over two months due to the coronavirus lockdown, Indian Railways started its operations of 200 passengers train services from today, news agency ANI reported.

Shopping malls and parks to reopen in Moscow, an epicentre of the Covid-19 outbreak in Russia, after authorities relaxed the lockdown norms. The relaxation comes after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the Covid-19 outbreak has passed its peak in the country.

China reported 16 new coronavirus cases for May 31, the highest since May 11 and up from 2 cases reported a day earlier, the country's health commission reported, reports Reuters.
