India has acted as a strong global and regional leader amid the pandemic said Australian PM Scott Morrison. He also said India has done it through showing leadership through G20 and Indo-Pacific partnership.

PM Modi's Australian counterpart says he is eager to meet PM Modi in person and also highlighted that his family will be happy to join PM Modi in India.

Both the world leaders have exchanged condolences and prayed for the people who have died due to Covid-19.

PM Modi said India and Australia need to work together in the fields of research, academics and trade.

In conversation with Rajiv Bajaj, Rahul Gandhi, Congress Wayanad MP quoted an unnamed expert and said that lockdown can alter the nature of the disease.

Bajaj MD in conversation with Rahul Gandhi said that India was wrong to follow the containment measures and Covid-19 curbing strategies emplyed by the West. He said rather India should've looked East to contain Covid-19 better.

The Robert Koch institute in Germany has recorded 394 new cases which have taken the number of infections above the 182,000 mark.

India has registered 9,304 fresh cases. India has also recorded 260 deaths in the last 24 hours as well.

Mizoram currently has 16 cases which are active. One person has been discharged.

Coronavirus continues to strike South America's Brazil hard as the nation continues to beat its daily record of cases and deaths by registering a new 24-hour spike. 1,349 people have died in last 24-hours and 32,548 people have died so far in Brazil.
