Highlights: Himachal reports over 100 fresh Covid-19 cases, tally rises to 3,372

Expressing hope that the Election Commission (EC) would decide an "appropriate time" amid the coronavirus crisis, Congress leader Akhilesh Prasad Singh on Sunday said that the current situation in Bihar is not conducive for Assembly elections, reports ANI.

Himachal Pradesh on Sunday recorded 107 fresh coronavirus cases, taking the infection tally in the hill state to 3,372. The new cases were reported from Chamba (23), Mandi (14), Hamirpur (13), Sirmaur and Solan (11 each), Bilaspur and Kangra (nine each), Shimla (seven), and Kullu and Una (five each), Additional Chief Secretary (Health) R D Dhiman said, reports PTI.

285 new Covid-19 positive cases and 6 deaths have been reported in Chhattisgarh today. Total number of cases now at 12148 including 3243 active cases, 8809 discharges and 96 deaths.

506 new Covid-19 cases and 193 recoveries reported in Goa today till 6 pm. Total number of cases stands at 8,712, including 2,642 active cases, 5,995 recovered cases and 75 death cases.

868 new Covid-19 cases have been reported in Madhya Pradesh today, taking the total number of cases to 39025. Death toll rises to 996 after 19 deaths were reported today.

Maharashtra reported 13,348 recoveries and 12,248 new cases of Covid-19 in 24 hours. The state's infection tally now stands at 5,15,332.

Uttar Pradesh reported 4,571 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday, taking the total in the state to 1,22,609 as 41 more fatalities pushed the the death toll due to the disease to 2,069.

"Under 'Seva Hi Sangathan' campaign, BJP workers have distributed more than 22.18 crore food packets among the needy people. Also, over 5 crore ration kits and 7 crore face masks/covers have been distributed till now," says BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda.

"Today, we have 1,400 Covid-19 hospitals across the country. There are around 50,000 ventilators available, while 20,000 ventilators under PM CARES Fund are in pipeline," says BJP president Jagat Prakash Nadda during an interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video conference.
