India reported 67,151 new cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) and 1,059 deaths in the last 24 hours, pushing the tally to 3,234,474, according to the Union health ministry's dashboard. Globally, India is the third worst-hit nation from the pandemic. India may overtake Brazil sometime in the next two weeks if the cases continue to grow at the same pace.

Jharkhand reported 1,137 new Covid-19 cases, 736 recoveries and 10 deaths, taking total cases to 33,311 including 22,486 recoveries and 362 deaths. Number of active cases stands at 10,463, said state health department.
Andhra Pradesh Covid-19 caseload rises to 3,82,469
Andhra Pradesh's Covid 19 caseload increased to 3,82,469 after recording 10,830 new cases of infection. The number included 92,208 active cases, 2,86,720 recoveries and 3,541 deaths, said state health department.
94-year old woman, 71-year-old daughter recover from Covid-19
In Tamil Nadu's Chennai, a 94-year old woman and her 71-year-old daughter were discharged from a hospital after recovering from Covid-19, taking the total number of recoveries in the state to 3,32,454, reports ANI.

Delhi's Covid-19 caseload jumped to 1,65,764 after reporting 1,693 new cases of infection in a day. The death toll has increased to 4,347 after 17 people succumbed to the disease.
1,397 new Covid-19 cases in Haryana
As many as 1,397 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Harayan on Wednesday taking total cases to 58,005. The death toll increased to 634 after 11 fresh fatalities, said state health department.

Dharavi's Covid-19 tally rises to 2,737: BMC
On the second day in row, Dharavi slum colony on Wednesday reported 12 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total count to 2,737, a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official said.
With 2,380 of the total 2,737 patients already recovered from the infection, the slum sprawl is now left with only 97 active cases, he said.

Nepal’s Covid-19 caseload reaches 34,418
Nepal on Wednesday recorded 885 new Covid-19cases, taking the country’s caseload to 34,418, health ministry said.
Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health Dr Jageshwar Gautam said that 385 patients were discharged after recovery from various isolation centers.

Tripura's Covid-19 caseload rises to 9,542
Tripura's Covid-19 caseload rose to 9,542 on Wednesday as 329 more people tested positive for the infection, while four fresh fatalities pushed its coronavirus death toll to 83, a health official said.
The fresh infections have taken the number of active cases in the state to 2,866, while 6,574 people have recovered from the disease so far and 19 patients have migrated to other states, he said.
