Countries around the world raced to develop a vaccine for coronavirus (Covid-19) as the pandemic continues to rage. Worldwide there are more than 22 million coronavirus cases. While over 788,000 people have succumbed to the disease, according to figures published by John Hopkins University.
India recorded 64,531 new Covid-19 cases and 1,092 deaths in last 24 hours, data published by the union health ministry showed.
Meanwhile, South Korea's Green Cross Corp has received regulatory approval for phase II human clinical trials of its experimental coronavirus plasma treatment drug, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety said. Argentina has confirmed 6,693 new cases of the coronavirus across the country within the past 24 hours, with the total number of people infected with Covid-19 having reached 312,659, the national Ministry of Health said.
The death toll has increased by 283 to 6,630 people within the same period of time.

Pakistan has reported 513 new cases of coronavirus, taking the toll tally of infections in the country to 290,958, the health ministry said on Thursday. The ministry also said the death toll in the country due to coronavirus reached 6,209 after eight patients died due to the infections in the last 24 hours, reports PTI.
