The number of coronavirus infections across the globe is headed towards 19.5 million with increasing case tallies and deaths. US continues to struggle to curb the outbreak as states like Texas and Arizona struggle to curb deaths as well as infections. US epidemiologist and NIAIDS chief Fauci remains cautiously optimistic that a vaccine for Covid-19 will be developed shortly.

India has ramped up its efforts to develop a vaccine and has developed an inter ministerial team to stay on the forefront of the vaccine race. Chennai and New Delhi have seen a dip in cases.

Plasma therapy to start in Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam soon

Arunachal's Covid-19 tally crosses 2,000-mark with 101 fresh cases

187 new Covid-19 cases, 2 deaths reported in Maharashtra Police

Maharashtra Police reported 187 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the total count to 10,614, according to ANI.

With two more fatalities, the total deaths in the state police force reached 114. Out of the total number of police personnel infected with coronavirus, 8,604 have recovered and 1,896 cases are active, informed the Maharashtra Police on Saturday.
