On Friday, RBI governor Shaktikanta Das said he would do "whatever it took" to help the staggered economy during the pandemic. Among other announcements, the RBI cut repo rate and pushed other banks to lend and provide liquidity support to struggling non-banks and ease asset classification norms. In another development, it was found that while India has used its Saarc Covid-19 Emergency Fund to send relief material worth $1.7 million to various countries, there has been no word from Pakistan, which had pledged to contribute relief worth $3 million to nations.

If any doctor, nurse, sanitation worker at hospital, lab technician contracts the infection and dies due to it, while attending to the patients of Covid-19, then Delhi govt will give a compensation of ₹1 crore to their family. There are other people too who are looking after Corona patients-Police, Civil Defence volunteers, teachers. If anyone contracts Corona&dies due to it, while looking after Corona patients, then it will be extended to all such people. Their families will be given ₹1 crore: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal
