On day-2 of India's lockdown 2.0, the number of people infected with coronavirus was 12,750 and the death toll stood at 420, according to the data released by health ministry at on Thursday. The global cases have crossed 2 million mark as people across 193 nation battle the pandemic. With more than 600,000 cases, US have now become the new epicentre for Covid-19 infections with more than 30,000 deaths.

Lav Agarwal said containment measures have been linked with testing. Earlier Gangakhedkar outlined that in India 24 people are tested to find one positive case.
NHAI disburses ₹10,000 crores to contractors
NHAI has disbursed ₹10,000 crores to contractors to whom the Centre owed money. NHAI has also ensured that food packets are distributed to truckers who are moving interstate goods.

Indian railways has made sure that 10,000 isolation beds are ready to cater to the needs of patients.

The government to ensure steady flow of pharmaceuticals and PPEs has established a special air connection with China.

ICMR official says that people who have flu in hotspots will be tested again. He also said pooling method of testing will be done in areas which have no cases.

Air Vistara, Spicejet suspend flight operations until May 3
India's two largest commercial airliners have decided to suspend commercial passenger operations until May 3. Vistara is offering customers free of charge rescheduling to another date until 31 December 2020, while SpiceJet told passengers that the amount will be kept 'in a credit shell and the same may be used to make fresh booking and travel till 28 February, 2021 for the same passenger."

The World Health Organisation has said that Europe is still in the eye of the storm. Spain, Italy, UK have reported highest number of deaths due to coronavirus.
