187 people have died due to coronavirus in the state. Maharashtra accounts for almost half the deaths reported in the country.

Gautam Buddh Nagar which has 27 containment zones, has removed four of these areas and added 7 new areas to the list.

Connie Titchen, 106-year-old Britonian has beaten Covid-19. "I feel very lucky that I’ve fought off this virus," Titchen, a resident of Birmingham, said. "I can’t wait to see my family."

Union health minister Dr Harsh Vardhan said that India has been able to pin-point where the virus is.

Across the country more than 11,900 people have been infected.

The health ministry said areas where cases have been reported but are not designated hotspots need to work proactively and ensure lockdown rules are being followed, says health ministry.
