The union health ministry during a press briefing this afternoon said that the number of recovered coronavirus (Covid-19) cases is now more than 29.70 lakh which is 3.5 times more than active cases.

Coronavirus clusters in Singapore and Seoul have raised concerns for governments who are trying to curb resurgence of fresh Covid-19 cases. Cases dropped in Seoul on Tuesday for the first time since August 10 during which the administration enforced tougher social distancing measures.
India on Thursday registered its highest ever-single day spike of 83,883 Covid-19 cases and 1,043 deaths which pushed the tally to over 3.8 million. The total cases include 8,15,538 active cases, nearly 30 lakh recoveries and 67,376 deaths.

Victoria, Australia’s most populous state, has asked its citizens to maintain social distancing and follow coronavirus preventative measures to ensure that Melbourne and other cities do not see a rise in cases. US cases rose by 0.5% but Dallas, Texas saw hospitalisations decrease.

Victoria is the center of Australia’s new coronavirus outbreak nad has warned against relaxing lockdown measures. Melbourne remains under strict lockdown with a nighttime curfew and stores and manufacturing shutdown.

Germany recorded 1,311 fresh coronavirus cases and 8 deaths. The European country now has more than 246,000 Covid-19 cases with death toll of 9,321.
Karnataka JD(S) leader passes away, had tested positive for Covid-19
Appaji Gowda, ex-MLA from Karnataka's Shivamogga passed away on Tuesday, He was 67 and had tested positive for Covid-19.
