Coronavirus clusters in Singapore and Seoul have raised concerns for governments who are trying to curb resurgence of fresh Covid-19 cases. Cases dropped in Seoul on Tuesday for the first time since August 10 during which the administration enforced tougher social distancing measures.
India on Thursday registered its highest ever-single day spike of 83,883 Covid-19 cases and 1,043 deaths which pushed the tally to over 3.8 million. The total cases include 8,15,538 active cases, nearly 30 lakh recoveries and 67,376 deaths.

Victoria, Australia’s most populous state, has asked its citizens to maintain social distancing and follow coronavirus preventative measures to ensure that Melbourne and other cities do not see a rise in cases. US cases rose by 0.5% but Dallas, Texas saw hospitalisations decrease.
Uttar Pradesh's Covid-19 tally crosses 247,000
The coronavirus death toll in Uttar Pradesh rose to 3,691 on Thursday with 75 more fatalities, while 5,662 fresh cases pushed the state's infection tally to 2,47,101, officials said. There are 57,598 active cases in the state, while 1,85,812 patients have been discharged after recovering from the infection, Additional Chief Secretary, Medical and Health, Amit Mohan Prasad said, reports PTI.

Bihar logs over 1,900 new Covid-19 cases; active cases climb to 18,029
Bihar on Wednesday registered 1,922 new Covid-19 cases which have pushed the state's tally to over 140,000. The active cases now stand at 18,029 whereas nearly 124,000 people have recovered from the infection, says ANI.
Observing the Covid-19 surge in Delhi, says health ministry
Looking at the rise in the number of active Covid-19 cases and deaths in Delhi, we're engaging with Delhi Government. We have given some specific instructions to the govt, if those are followed, no. of cases can be brought under control, Rajesh Bhushan, secretary, union health ministry said.

Delhi, Karnataka witnessed rise in case fatality: Health ministry
There is an increase in the case fatality trajectory in two states - Karnataka and Delhi. Delhi has seen 50% and Karnataka has seen 9.6% increase in average daily case fatality, Rajesh Bhushan, Secretary, union health ministry said.
