The voting in 288-member Maharashtra assembly polls was held on October 21 in which about 60.83% voters exercised their franchise. The results of Maharashtra Assembly poll 2019 will be announced on Thursday. In this blog we will give you the latest update of the couting of votes in Mehkar, Khamgaon, Jalgaon, Akot, Balapur, Akola West, Akola East constutuencies.

Mehkar falls under the Buldhana Lok Sabha constituency and is part of the Buldhana district. Sanjay Bhashkar Raimulkar from the SS won the seat in 2014 by defeating the Laxmanrao Januji Ghumare INC candidate by a margin of 35,935 votes.

Khamgaon falls under the Buldhana Lok Sabha constituency and is part of the Buldhana district. Akash Pandurang Fundkar from the BJP won the seat in 2014 by defeating the Sananda Dilipkumar Gokulchand INC candidate by a margin of 7,061 votes.

Jalgaon Jamod falls under Buldhana Lok Sabha constituency and is part of Buldhana district. Kute Dr Sanjay Shriram from the BJP won the seat in 2014 by defeating the Balasaheb Alias Prasenjit Kisan Tayde BBM candidate by a margin of 4,695 votes.

Akot falls under Akola Lok Sabha constituency and is part of the Akola district. Bharsakle Prakash Gunvantrao from the BJP won the seat in 2014 by defeating the Gangane Mahesh Sudhakarrao INC candidate by a margin of 31,411 votes.

Balapur falls under the Akola Lok Sabha constituency and is part of Akola district. Baliram Bhagwan Sirskar from the BBM won the seat in 2014 by defeating the Khatib Syed Natiquddin INC candidate by a margin of 6,939 votes.

Akola West falls under the Akola Lok Sabha constituency and is part of the Akola district. Govardhan Mangilal Sharma from the BJP won the seat in 2014 by defeating the Deshmukh Vijay Pundlikrao NCP candidate by a margin of 39,953 votes.

Akola East falls under the Akola Lok Sabha constituency and is part of the Akola district. Savarkar Randhir Pralhadrao from the BJP won the seat in 2014 by defeating the Bhade Haridas Pandhari BBM candidate by a margin of 2,440 votes.

Trends show BJP still leading in Maharashtra

After around one and a half hour of counting, trends show that Bharatiya Janata Party-Shiv Sena candidates are leading on 178 seats while Congress-Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) candidates are leading on 86 seats. Others are leading on 9 seats.

Going by the early trends, the Bharatiya Janata Party is leading in Maharashtra. The Bharatiya Janata Party, which is contesting in 288 seats is currently leading with 134 seats while congress is leading on 51 seats and others are leading on 7 seats.
