BJP's Vijay Deshmukh wins in Solapur City North - Live Updates

Maharashtra assembly election results will be declared today, on October 24. The counting began at 8 am today. The notification was released on September 27. The nomination process concluded on October 4. Voting was done on October 21 in single phase.

Mohol: Mohol's constituency comes under Solapur district, which has a total of 3,05,027 electors, out of which 1,42,944 are female electors while the remaining 1,62,080 are male electors. In 2014, NCP's Ramesh Nagnath Kadam won over Sanjay Dattatraya of BJP. NCP has fielded Mane Yashwant Vitthal this year, who will face stiff battle against MNS' Dr Hanumant Bhagwan Bhosale and Shiv Sena's Kshirsagar Nagnath Dattatray.

Solapur City North: Solapur City North constituency falls under Solapur district of Maharashtra. The constituency has a total of 286101 electors, out of which 140464 are female electors while the remaining 145616 are male electors. BJP's three-time winner Deshmukh Vijay Sidramappa won the seat in 2014 against NCP's Mahesh Chandrakant Gadekar. He has been fielded again by the party, with NCP's Manohar Ganpat Sapate in the fray among others.

Solapur City Central: Solapur City Central falls under Solapur district of Maharashtra and has a total of 301152 electors, out of which 149345 female electors and 151796 male electors. The seat has been held by Congress' Shinde Praniti Sushilkumar since 2009 and he will be eyeing a third consecutive term this year. Shiv Sena's Dilip Brahmadeo Mane will be looking to overthrow Congress' rule from the constituency.

Akkalkot: Akkalkot constituency falls under Solapur district of Maharashtra. It has a total electors of 344658, with 164105 female electors and 180535 male electors. The incumbent MLA and Congress candidate Mhetre Siddharam Satlingappa will be challenged by Kalyanshetti Sachin Panchappa from BJP this year.

Solapur South: Solapur South constituency falls under Solapur district of Maharashtra. It has a total of 307013 electors, with female electors of 144399 electors and male electors of 162609. In 2014, the BJP's Subhash Sureshchandra Deshmukh won the seat after defeating Congress' Dilip Brahmdev Mane. He is also a current cabinet minister for Co-operation, Relief, and Rehabilitation in Maharashtra. He will be hoping to get a second term.

Pandharpur: Pandharpur constituency falls under Solapur district of Maharashtra. It has total 332860 electors, out of which 159330 are female electors and 173527 are male electors. The incumbent MLA and NCP candidate Bhalake Bharat Tukaram won the elections in 2014 and 2009. NCP's Bhalake Bharat Tukaram will face competition from Congress' Kalunge Shivajirao Bajirao and BJP's Bhalake Bharat Tukaram.
