Counting of votes and announcement of result for the Bihar assembly elections will take place on November 10.

Bihar Poll Highlights: Nitish Kumar promises skill centres for youth

The polling in first phase of Bihar assembly elections took place on Wednesday with 53.54% of votings recorded till 6 pm. A total of 71 constituencies spread across 16 districts of Bihar went to polls in the first phase. 94 will go to polls in the second phase on November 3 while 78 will vote in the third and final phase on November 7. Counting of votes and announcement of result will take place on November 10.

In the last assembly elections in 2015, JD(U) and RJD had contested together, with the RJD emerging as the single-largest party and Nitish Kumar becoming the chief minister. The alliance, however, collapsed in July 2017, paving way for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to join hands with Kumar and form government in the state.

485 of 518 wards in Sheohar covered under 'Har Ghar Nal ka Jal Yojana': Nitish Kumar

Speaking about the developments done in Shivhar under the 'Har Ghar Nal ka Jal Yojana', CM Nitish Kumar said, out of 518 wards in the district 485 wards have access to clean water. 502 of 518 wards have been developed under 'Har Ghar Pakki Gali-Naali Yojana' for rural roads and drainage.
