As Bihar gears up for the third and final phase of elections, contenders aim to win over voters in key constituencies across the state. Several first-time voters will also be voting in one of major legislative assembly elections which are being held amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The polling for second phase of polls took place on Tuesday and a voter turnout of over 53% was recorded as per data provided by the Election Commission of India (ECI). Voters exercised their franchise in 94 constituencies across 17 districts in view of coronavirus (Covid-19) related restrictions. Prominent leaders such as RJD leader and Mahagathabandhan's chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav, chief minister Nitish Kumar, Lok Janshakti Party chief (LJP) Chirag Paswan were seen casting their votes during the second phase.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi finished his campaigning for the third and final phase on Tuesday. The third phase comprises of 78 constituencies for which voting will be held on November 7. Counting of votes and declaration of results for all three phase will be on November 10.
