BJP's Ranajagjitsinha Patil wins in Tuljiapur - Live Updates

Maharashtra assembly election results will be declared today, on October 24. The counting began at 8 am today. The notification was released on September 27. The nomination process concluded on October 4. Voting was done on October 21 in single phase.

Tuljapur: Tuljapur constituency comes under Osmanabad district. It has a total electors of 351361, out of which 163706 female electors and 187649 male electors. The seat has been held by Congress party's incumbent MLA and candidate Chavan Madhukarao Deorao. He defeated NCP's Gore Jeevanrao Vishwanathrao in 2014 to keep hold of the seat. MNS' Navgire Prashant Prakash and BJP's Ranajagjitsinha Padmasinha Patil will be key contenders to challenge Deorao this year.

Osmanabad: Osmanabad constituency falls under Osmanabad district of Maharashtra. It has a total electors of 352364, out of which 186689 are male electors and 165665 are female electors. In 2014, Ranajagjitsinha Patil of NCP defeated Shiv Sena's Omprakash Bhupalsinha (Pawanraje) Rajenimbalkar to win the seat. Sanjay Prakash Nimbalkar has been fielded by NCP this year, and he will face a challenge from Kailas Balasaheb Ghadge Patil of Shiv Sena. AAP's Adv Ajit (Anna) Vishwanath Khot Patil is also in the fray among others.

Paranda: Paranda constituency falls under Osmanabad district of Maharashtra. It has a total of 313765 electors, out of which 146739 are female electors and 167025 are male electors. The seat has been held by NCP since 2004 with its incumbent MLA and candidate Rahul Maharudra Mote winning the last three terms. He will be defending his hold against Tanaji Jaywant Sawant of Shiv Sena, Mahadeo Shankar Lokhande of BSP among others.

Karmala: Karmala district falls under Solapur district of Maharashtra. It has a total of 301806 electors, out of which 141798 are female electors and 160006 are male electors. The 2014 elections were won by Shiv Sena candidate Narayan Govindrao Patil. The party has fielded Bagal Rashmi Digambar this year, with Patil Sanjay Krishnarao posing challenge among others.

Madha: Madha constituency falls under Solapur district of Maharashtra. It has a total of 325626 electors, out of which 153063 are female electors and 172562 are male electors. Babanrao Vitthalrao Shinde of NCP has held the constituency since 1996. He will be hoping to win sixth consecutive term in the constituency this year.

Barshi: Barshi district of Solapur constituency has a total of 305124 electors, out of which 145836 are female electors and 159277 are male electors. The seat was won by Dilip Gangadhar Sopal of NCP in 2014. The party has fielded Bhumkar Niranjan Prakash this year, who will face competition from Shiv Sena's Adv Dilip Gangadhar Sopal and MNS' Nagnath Abhimanu Chavan, among others.
